Senior Right-of-Way Agent

  • 2013 - Present – Right-of-Way Lead and Senior Right-of-Way Agent on projects throughout the Midwest and Utah acquiring right-of-ways for electric transmission and distribution lines, in addition to FERC and well gathering oil and gas lines. Duties include right-of-way negotiations, title research and curative, run sheets, permitting, and damage claim payments. Provide client daily spreadsheet progress reports. Coach, manage and train agents when requested by client and/or project management personnel.
  • 2012 - 2013–SeniorRight-of-Way Agent serving SWEPI (Shell Oil) in western PA acquiring right-of-ways for a well gathering project. Duties included contract preparations, surface title research and curative, report processing and extensive negotiating with landowners.
  • 2011-2012–Senior Right-of-Way Agent on the well gathering, Eagle Ford Shale project serving Conoco Phillips. Successfully negotiated with landowners for right-of-way acquisitions, surface title research and curative, settled construction damage claims, provided project management with weekly progress reports and interacted with staff construction personnel on urgent need land owner concerns when warranted.
  • 2009-2011 - Right-of-Way Supervisor on the well gathering, Marcellus Shale project for Laurel Mountain Midstream Operating, LLC. Coached and directed a team of 15 right-of-agents through the various project stages of obtaining survey permissions, right-of-way acquisitions, negotiating construction damages and project reporting disciplines. Was project liaison with the client’s legal team on critical land owner issues.
  • 2008-2009 – Senior Right-of-Way Agent for the Rockies Express natural gas pipeline project in the Midwest.
  • 2007-2008 – Senior Right-of-Way Agent serving British Petroleum on right-of-way clearance projects in Minnesota and Illinois.
