General Description

Reporting to the Chief of Partner Operations, the Partner Services Liaison participates in the work of the Center and the collaborating agencies on behalf of the child victims by reviewing notifications of child abuse and neglect from the DFPS Services Statewide Intake, identifies notifications within the DCAC Investigative Protocol with MDT members, facilitates coordination of joint investigations and forensic interviews and serving as liaison between DCAC and designated partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·  Support efforts to build relationships with DCAC Partners, including onsite interactions and specific follow up to ensure a positive customer service experience;

·  Build, manage and facilitate relationships with assigned partner agencies;

·  Review DFPS Statewide Intake notifications of child abuse and neglect received for Dallas County Child Protective Services, Child Care Licensing and Adult Protective Services on a daily basis;

·  Identify DFPS notifications that fit within DCAC’s Investigative Protocols and follow notification process;

·  Conduct on-going communication with forensic interviewers, DFPS workers, law enforcement and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate and timely collaboration on DCAC cases;

·  Contact investigative multidisciplinary team members (i.e. law enforcement and DFPS supervisors and investigators) to enhance team collaboration and coordination by scheduling forensic interviews;

·  Manage tracking and logging process for incoming Statewide Intake notifications;

·  Schedule forensic interviews when contacted by law enforcement partners (for cases not coordinate by the intake coordinator);

·  Ensure reports/records generated from Statewide Intake are retained, protected and/or destroyed so as to ensure confidentiality and compliance with CAC’s records retention policies;

·  Attend MDTC meetings to document discussion and follow up needed;

·  Serve as back up facilitator for MDTC meetings as needed;

·  Accurately track all partner collaborations activities and complete weekly and monthly intake logs;

·  Coordinate and distribute weekly e-newsletter and additional communication;

·  Ensure cases that fit Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration (MDTC) discussion criteria are entered into DCAC database and added to the staffing list;

·  Create, coordinate and actively participate in MDT and cross discipline trainings, and

·  Coordinate partner satisfaction and wellness related events (i.e. partner recognition, team building, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills

·  A bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or other related field is required.

·  Three years of experience in working with child abuse professionals related to child abuse matters (i.e. Texas Department of Family and Protective Services staff, law enforcement officer, MDT team members) is preferred.

·  Knowledge and experience with case review process and working CAC protocols.

·  Previous experience with Children’s Advocacy Centers is required; previous experience with DCAC is strongly preferred

·  The individual should possess strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills, facilitation skills, and demonstrate an articulate, polite phone voice.

·  This position requires an intermediate level proficiency with MS Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
