Course Description: / This course is an introduction to thetheory and fundamentals of basic video projection and RasterScan.

All unit exams require a minimum score of 72 or a C grade.
All performance or laboratory evaluations require a minimum score of 90 or an A-.
Note: Unit exams and performance/laboratory scores are combined for a single course grade.
Make-up Exams: / Any missed or failed exam must be taken within one week of the original exam date or a score of zero will be given. If you fail an exam you will have the opportunity to retake the exam. A score of 72% must be obtained for a passing grade. The final percentage awarded for successful completion of the competency if a retake exam is required will be a (2.0) or C, regardless of the test score. If you do not pass the second time, you may be withdrawn from the class.
Classroom Conduct: / Students are expected to read and understand the Bates Technical College Student Handbook.
Absence: / Attendance is very important for your success in this course. Any absence from school can adversely affect your grade. Three absences and/or three late arrivals in a quarter (including leaving early) and who has not been granted a leave of absence may be withdrawn from the program. Students withdrawn for the above reasons may not re-register for 10 weeks.
Absences, late arrivals and early leaves beyond 3 will subtract from the course GPA by .5 points each for each incidents
You are required to notify your instructor if you are going to be absent or late for class. A phone call or e-mail message will be acceptable.
A maximum of 2 make-up days may be allowed per quarter.. Make-up time is to be completed outside of the normal class hours.
E-mail:/ Internet Use: / E: mail and Internet use is limited to program content only. Inappropriate use for non program related surfing will result in loss of privileges and or disciplinary action.
Cheating/Plagiarism
Policy: / Any form of academic dishonesty, including cheating, falsification, plagiarism or facilitating, aiding and abetting academic dishonesty will be subject to the College disciplinary sanctions, including expulsion from the college, according to WAC 495-121-041 PROHIBITED CONDUCT. (See Students Rights and Responsibilities in the College Catalog or Student Handbook).
