Executive Director Report / Grants:
BCAC Sustainability and Capacity: Pending
Gaming: Awarded $22000
ArtsVest: in conversation to become a priority/candidate for next year.
Financial year end is in reconciliation and will then go into the CGA.
Calls for Entry: Red Tree, Airport and Studio Tour are open.
Sooner or Later went well.
Planning in the works for Filberg Festival and Foggy Mountain.
Committee Reports
Membership / Still devising plan for membership drive. Some fall advertising needs to be booked now. Happy to have some input on themes/hooks for the drive if anyone has a brilliant marketing idea
Membership is up slightly with new members due to airport, filberg demo artists, and studio tour registration
Currently offering 18-month membership to cover last half of 2016.
We have received enquiries from Oceanview Arts Council (Parksville/Qualicum), Campbell River Arts AND Cowichan Arts Council in the last month... something is working! They are all interested in at least keeping one another informed. We have traded memberships with Campbell River and opened the Studio Tour to them. Offered a trial 6-month membership to any interested CRArts members.
Group Membership Policy
When the art group is acting as a group, for example, when you are represented on the Studio Tour as a single collective. But when you are representing yourselves individually, then you are individual members, and need an individual membership which then entitles you to all the benefits of membership for yourself as an artist.

Studio Tour / Registration is now open - please feel free to tell ALL your artist friends. DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1. Uptake is a little slower than anticipated.

Committee on Inclusion / Meetings held this summer and CVCAC will do outreach to include a list of organizations. Kera has done some work on this:
DIRECTORY- Slow uptake on the org directory listings. We are devising a more in-depth survey in conjunction with City. Possibly seeking funding to hire professional to get the most meaningful data
