Curriculum Vitae Charles Pieterse

I am 37 years of age and was born in 1975. I am married and have three children, all of us love nature and the great outdoors. I have studied and applied for my Professional Hunter Licence during 1994. My highest education is a B Proc degree at University of Pretoria which I obtained during 1999.

My hunting career and experience however started many years before this, following as a young boy in the footsteps of my father who shared his knowledge and passion for the African bush with myself.

During my study term at University I started as freelance PH during holidays. I finally moved from the city to Louis Trichardt in the Limpopo province to practice law and further develop my love for hunting and in order to acquire my own game farm, which I did and I bought my first game farm during 2007. Before this I hunted with many other professional hunters and for many outfitters on a part time basis. I later decided to start my own safari operations as outfitter to focus on my own approach in the hunting and fishing industry. I formed Wildrock Safaris as a family business as a further opportunity for my family and children especially my youngest son who was introduced to hunting and gained experience directly from myself from a very young age and who also lives toshare his passion with fellow hunters and anglers. Therefor I believe that land was entrusted to us by our “forefathers” to preserve for our children and their children.

I am also a qualified deep sea skipper and love angling in all forms that provides a challenge. I have fished in many continents and in different waters. I have personally hunted almost every species of game animal in South Africa with the rifle and I am attempting to do same with the bow. I am a keen bow hunter and have already taken some great trophies with the bow. I have hunted with many clients a great variety of African game and most of my clients have become very close friends.

I am also involved in the DVD series Wild Africa Fishing and Hunting as outfitter and professional hunter and appear as hunting presenter on most DVD’s since Volume18 thereof. As during March 2013 the series already have 31 Volumes or DVD’s which Volume appears every two months. Therefor I have been involved for almost 3 years since 2010. For further information visit:

I believe in an approach to provide for the individual needs and requirements of my clients according to their budget and strive for excellent service delivery at a reasonable price. I have an experienced team with whom I work closely to achieve my aims. I admire nature and our remarkable fauna and flora. I am very much interested in trees and always try to learn more about them and I pride myself in my limited knowledge of trees. I learn something from nature on every safari and I try to utilise that knowledge to share with clients my passion for Africa, safely, responsibly and with respect.
