The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is currently accepting applications for Director of Treasury Operations.

The Director of Treasury Operations will lead three direct reports and a total team of ten. Leadership will cover functional responsibilities, staff oversight and development, administration management, cross-departmental successes and responsiveness to senior management The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following functional areas (fields): treasury operations, banking services, cash flow, investments, debt, commodity hedging, public finance, financial institutions, financial management and controls. The successful candidate will have solid quantitative and field-specific technical expertise and high level skills in people management, communication and organization management. This position reports to the Treasurer with regular support to the CFO. A highly relevant master’s degree and at least one field-related credential such as CTP, CPA, CFA, etc is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications include, but are not limited to: graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration or related field. Ten (10) years of considerable experience in treasury, financial management, financial institutions and public finance required. Master’s degree preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered if candidate can effectively demonstrate progressively responsible experience in treasury, financial management, financial institutions and public finance.
