Research Experience
Principal Investigator – Montelukast in Status Asthmaticus
Designed protocol and methods for pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, pharmacogentic study of montelukast in acute pediatric asthma. The study is currently active under a new PI. October 2003 – June 2006
Principal Investigator – Phase II Study of Fenoldopam in Children
Implemented study protocol in a dose-escalating, dose-finding pharmacokinetic trial of fenoldopam for improving urine output in pediatric intensive care unit patients. The study is now closed.May 2004 - June 2006
Principal Investigator – Mouse Model of ARDS
Develop a two-hit model of ARDS, utilizing an established model of murine sepsis combined with endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation in order to study the role of inflammatory mediators in directing biotrauma. Null results unpublished. October 2002 – May 2004
