WELCOME BACK!!

Hope everyone had a relaxing week with no homework. As our senior reminded us on the last day of spring break, only 45 more days of school! Now that makes summer seem really close!

Got some great news for you . . . sophomore Elizabeth Wallace won first place in the state Reflections contest literature category!Elizabeth’s Reflections story is in response to the prompt “Diversity means . . .” and is told from the point of view of a young Russian immigrant at the turn of the century coming into Ellis Island. The story highlights the friendship she develops with another girl very unlike herself, crossing boundaries of race, religion and economics. Congratulations Liz! We are very proud of you! Liz’s entry will now move on to the national competition. 

We welcome back our spring athletes who traveled to various tournaments during the break. All our Demon athletes make us proud and we thank them for representing our school with honor. Golf, soccer and baseball teams all went to Myrtle Beach to compete and the tennis team went to Kentucky for a tournament. Congratulations to the tennis team for bringing home fifth place from its tournament which included stiff competition among nationally ranked teams.

We invite everyone to join us for two big events this week. Key Club Follies are Friday, April 13 and the All-County Orchestra concert is Tuesday, April 17. Both are in the auditorium. Aren’t we lucky to have such a beautiful place for our students to perform?!

Best wishes for a great week! We all need to enjoy every minute we can grab with our high school children, precious time is flying by! Thank you for everything each of you do for ReynoldsHigh School.

GO DEMONS!!
