Welcome to Music at Crowders Creek Elementary School!

We are looking forward to guiding your child through a quality and well-rounded music education including the following:

  • Weekly music reading lessons featuring soprano recorder, percussion and chorus
  • Recognition of orchestra instruments and classical composers
  • Creative movement segments designed to strengthen rhythm skills and coordination
  • Performances throughout the year for family and friends!

All students participate in this exciting weekly program when they come to music class! Through community support at their events, children grow to recognize that they are competent and confident musical performers!

FALL SEMESTER MUSIC EVENTS

  • Chorister Open House: September 24 – 28; Grades 3 – 5 during weekly Music Class
  • Veterans Day Celebration: November 9th
  • Thanksgiving Concert: November 19th @ 6:30 pm, Clover School District Auditorium
  • Primary Holiday Concerts: December 3 – 7; PreK – 2nd Grades during Music Class
  • Chorister Caroling: December 10 – 14: 3rd – 5th Grades during weekly Music Class

SPRING SEMESTER MUSIC EVENTS

  • African American History Month: February during weekly Music Class
  • Music in our Schools Month: March during weekly Music Class
  • Spring Concert: March 27th @ 6:30 pm, Clover School District Auditorium
  • SPECIAL ENCORE CONCERT FOR ALL STUDENTS!

Spring Concert Field Trip to Clover Auditorium March 28th @ 10:00 a.m.

  • Cultural Awareness Concerts: May during weekly Music Class

All 3rd – 5th graders are required to have a concert quality Soprano Recorder and case to bring to each music class. Students will play their recorders in class weekly, and be given additional assignments to practice at home.

  • All 3rd grade students
  • New students who do not already own a professional quality recorder and case
  • Any 4th – 5th grade student who has lost their recorder.
