Crime Watch Report continued from December 28, 2010 through January 6, 2011

CASE #11-0004 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTYOn Tuesday, December 28, 2010, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to a destruction of property complaint in Reedsville. The victim stated that eggs were thrown at a vehicle and the windshield had been cracked.

CASE #10-4992 BURGLARYOn Thursday, December 30, 2010, Deputies Sinclair, Geisel, and Beach responded to a residence outside of Kingwood in regards to a burglary complaint. Several items including guns and tools were reported stolen. Items stolen included one 30-30 Savage rifle with scope and one .22 caliber Savage pistol. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-4997 TRESPASSINGOn Thursday, December 30, 2010, Cpl Root responded to a trespassing complaint outside of Kingwood.

CASE #10-5001 BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Friday, December 31, 2010, Cpl Tichnell responded to a business in Terra Alta in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-5003 SHOPLIFTINGOn Friday, December 31, 2010, Cpl Pritt received a call from Wal-Mart near Kingwood in regards to a larceny complaint. A wall bracket for a television was stolen. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #10-5007 SHOPLIFTINGOn Friday, December 31, 2010, Cpl Root responded to Wal-Mart near Kingwood in regards to a shoplifting complaint. The suspect was seen concealing items and cited for shoplifting.

CASE #10-5010 LARCENYOn Friday, December 31, 2010, Deputy Roberts received a call from a resident of Reedsville who stated that the license plate had been stolen from her vehicle. License plate number is WV 8CF640.

CASE #11-0009 LARCENYOn Saturday, January 1, 2011, Cpl Pritt received a call from a resident of Kingwood who stated that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence while he was away. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #11-0021 LARCENYOn Sunday, January 2, 2011, Deputy Rodeheaver responded to a residence in Tunnelton in regards to a larceny complaint. The victim stated that property had been stolen from the residence including a rifle.

CASE #11-0042 LARCENYOn Sunday, January 2, 2011, the sheriff’s department was made away of a gas drive off from the Manown area. The suspect was identified, arrested, and fined.

CASE #11-0031 LARCENYOn Monday, January 3, 2011, Cpl Brown received a call from a resident of Tunnelton who stated that medication had been stolen from her home. This is a continuing investigation.

CASE #11-0032 LARCENYOn Monday, January 3, 2011, Deputy Sinclair received a call from a resident of Masontown who stated that a digital camera had been stolen from her home.

CASE #11-0065 BREAKING AND ENTERINGOn Thursday, January 6, 2011, Cpl Pritt responded to Alpine Lake in regards to a breaking and entering complaint. A utility trailer had been broken into and several items stolen. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Preston County Sheriff’s Department. This is a continuing investigation. Taken were : One trim gun, two framing guns, three roofing guns, all Stanley Bostitch that were a yellow orange color; three circular saws, a Dewalt 7 1/4, a Makita 7 1/4, and a Craftsman 8 1/4; 1 Dewalt miter saw 12 inch yellow, fairly big; one Bosch hammer drill that is green and has red letters; a Makita drill set that has two drills, a sawzall and a small circular saw that is 18 volt and rechargeable; one Dewalt air compressor; one Rapa Cap gun in a black case and shoots orange cap nails; and one Button Cap gun that shoots the green capped nails.
