It was AGREED that the minutes of the meeting of the Planning and Highways
Committee held on Monday 10 October 2016 be APPROVED.
52 TO RECEIVE THE DEPUTY CLERK’S UPDATE REPORT

The Deputy Clerk reported the following:
· Information had been received from Vodafone and Telefonica UK regarding a
pre-consultation for a proposed installation of a mobile telecommunications site at Furringdons Farm, Broadshard. The site was just outside the Crewkerne boundary but would provide 4G coverage in the area.
· South Somerset District Council had produced an Historic Environment Strategy (HES) draft for consultation. This was required by the South Somerset Local Plan to ensure the highest possible standard of development. The Deputy Clerk was requested to send links to the consultation to Councillors.
· A letter had been received by a resident of Chubbs Lawn who had concerns regarding the speed of vehicles using Court Barton and Middle Path. Both the Community Office and Police had suggested contacting the Council. The Deputy Clerk was asked to refer the letter to Speedwatch for their consideration.

It was noted that the former offices of KRBS in Market Square had been empty for over 2 years and had been left untidy inside and with a boarded door. It was AGREED that a 215 notice should be requested from South Somerset District Council requiring the owner to take action to ensure the property was tidied up both inside and out.
56 TO RECEIVE ANY OTHER MATTERS OF REPORT

Cllr. Best reported that the Crewkerne sign on the Yeovil Road coming into Crewkerne
was missing. The Clerk agreed to investigate.
Cllr. Pailthorpe had been contacted by a partially sighted resident who had walked into
a vehicle that was parked on the pavement on North Street by Flax Row on several
consecutive days. The Deputy Clerk would investigate.
