A quorum was present.

M/S/P approval of the November 18, 2014 stated session meeting minutes with a correction. (Voting after the meeting via email approved the correction of the housing allowance amount for Bret Allen to $25,270.60 per year.)

3 – 1 / To approve Rev. Becky Davis to serve Communion by Intinction on January 28th at 7pm at the Deacon Communion Service.

M/S/P approval of the consent agenda.

Jennifer Prechter shared her personal testimony.

M/S/P to bring Jennifer Prechter under the care of the session of the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando to be a candidate for ordination as the Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Lori Needham discussed the desired hospitality standards of the church using the acronym GRACE. Greet warmly with compassion and enthusiasm. Reach out and ask a question. Act on a way to serve; be approachable. Communicate and simplify (set expectations and explain the process). Escort to the experience (create a successful beginning).

Minister’s report – First Presbyterian Church of Orlando will soon begin to contribute a per capita amount to the EPC.

M/S/P to accept the resignation of Jeremiah Jenkins as elder.

M/S/P to approve the elder commissioners to the February meeting of the Florida EPC Presbytery meeting the following individuals: Fred Langston, Lu Langston, Murray Garbrick.

M/S/P to approve the placement of the Homeless Jesus sculpture at the corner of Rosalind and Jackson as an artistic reminder to our church and community of Matthew 25. Funds for the sculpture are being provided outside the church budget.

Case Thorp provided an update regarding the EPC General Assembly meeting which will take place at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando June 22 until June 27, 2015.

The governance plan continues through the process of final editing and will be submitted to the session in February for approval.

M/S/P Ed Brackmann submitted the list of leadership assignments which was accepted with one correction that Dave Cowan will serve as Clerk rather than serve on the worship committee.

One elder needs to be appointed to the Support Committee to be in compliance with the governance plan.

M/S/P Motion from the Support Committee to use currently available funds from the Arise and Build Campaign to pay $1 million in debt.

Announcement: Elders will participate in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic January 20 until January 23, 2016.

Conflict of Interest forms were distributed and signed by members of the session as done in the usual annual manner for auditing purposes.

With no further business, the meeting was closed with prayer by Bret Allen at 8:10 PM.
