As a class we will spend the first ten to fifteen minutes each day learning test taking, organizational and study skills to help get them get better grades. Students will then have the rest of the time to work on homework. Students will be monitored carefully to ensure that they are working and using their homework time effectively.
Homework
The required homework will be completing and turning in their weekly homework and goal tracking sheet. They will also have a weekly missing work reports that will need to be signed and turned in.

Extra Credit
Students that would like to raise their grade can complete skill packets up to 3 per term. Each
packet is worth up to 5 points.
Student Attendance
Each student is expected to come to school regularly and on-time. This is important for the student to make maximum progress, and to be able to access all parts of the curriculum. This also helps them in training them to be on time for their future adult responsibilities. If a student must be absent from school, parents must excuse that absence through the attendance office. The student will still be required to make up the missing work.
Student Responsibility
Each student will be held responsible for his or her own materials and behaviors while in class by following the classroom procedures:
è Be on Time and Prepared to Work
è Follow Directions Immediately
è Raise Hand and Wait Quietly to Talk
è 2Keep Hands, Feet & Objects to Self
è Use Professional Language at All Times
è In Seat Working Quietly
Student Incentives
As part of the class, students will be instructed to consider school the same as their future jobs; as with any job they will be paid for a job well done. They will earn class money based on how well they work in class and how well they follow the class procedures. They will be able to use the class money that they earn to buy prizes, school supplies and pay for classroom infraction fines, if they choose not to follow classroom procedures.
