Creating cultures of peace, justice and healing , this harmony week we seek to string a necklace of common good and values that bind us all and divide us less. Hence Love Care foundation seeks to organise and jointly participate at interfaith gatherings and functions to unleash the idea of hope and optimism much lacking today in our part of the world. Hence over 10 days an indulgence for unity in diversity is mapped out so that the series travels through hearts and minds of generations to churn the wheels of difference.

To begin with we be participated in URI-North Zone (India and Afghanistan) organised event- ‘Udaan- a flight towards a new dawn’ to mark ideas of ‘inclusivity’, ‘co-operation’ and ‘peaceful-coexistence’. Children are the building blocks of ‘future’ and hence any attempt at ensuing harmony must begin with ensuring a space where they can self-actualise. On the 27th of January 2018, we joined hands with URI and invited approximately 350 children from all backgrounds- under-privileged, differently-abled, orphaned, HIV affected to join us for an evening filled with fun and ensure that we can put a smile on the faces of those standing last in the queue. The idea was not to engage in charity at this event, but ensure that the kids through relatable and engaging performances of storytelling, puppetry and music in the company of the crème-de-la-crème of Delhi were able to shake off the years of negativity and strive towards a harmonious dawn of love and peace.

On 28th of January we had a sarva dharma (interfaith) panel talking and discussing about how unity and inclusion can be fostered in the grassroots. Leaders and practitioners from all walks of life joined along with involvement of young people to draw inspiration from the divine leaders while combining issues of sustainability and inclusive growth.

Certainly as change cannot be bought in a day, series of successive change making activities are planned over a period of seven days, like:

1Harmony Breakfast: breakfast will be organized for children. Ladies of our centerswill prepare the same.

2Stalls of products made by ladies and children.

3Bageecha(garden) meeting with women at all centers(mention the number of centers)

4Video shoot with students and women for peace and harmony.

5Drawing competition for showing harmony and peace theme.

6Anthem writing for peace at centers. Theme -'Hum Sub ekHain'with lines in different languages of India .

7Rally to bring awareness for clean environment – Clean and healthy environment brings peace of mind for us and our surroundings

From the 27th of January to the 7th of February, our attempt is to bring people from different walk of life that face difference and structural violence at various levels. The fabric of issues concerning people in this part of the world are several and different but the one thread that ties it all together are the pearls of hope, love, care and kindness to one another. Hence our attempt to reach out to people not just hopes to create a series of events but rather a start to many more. Activities were organized at different centres of LCF. Women and children participated enthusiastically with an aim to become economically independent and carry the peace torch forward for the future generations.
