Information

This course has been specifically designed for Sports Coaches who are qualified at all levels. The ‘Typhoo Sports for All’ course is tailored towards a wide variety of sports.

Coursedescription:

The ‘Typhoo Sports for All’ project works to increase participation in sport and ensure disabled people can access the sport and physical activity of their choice, at a level of their choice and a venue of their choice. The course supports coaches to adapt their coaching techniques to enable disabled people to participate in inclusive coaching sessions.

Course facilitator:

Alexis Major hasboth a practical and theoretical knowledge of

coaching which she brings to her tutoring.

Alexis has been tutoring for the EFDS fro 6 years. She has been

a community sports coach for disability and inclusion organising

festivals and sessions for a range of disable people in varying

environments. At present Alexis Is a demonstrator in Sports

Coaching at BournemouthUniversity providing specialisation in disability.

Time: 9 am to 3.45 pm

Cost: £20 for each coach attending

Additional details:

  • Tea/coffee will be provided.
  • Please bring your own lunch.
  • Bring pen and paper to make notes. Resources packs will be provided
  • Suitable sports wear and trainers will be required.

Booking conditions:

  1. Places are limited (maximum of 24 per course) and bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis.
  2. Bookings must be made in advance of the day.
  3. Your place will be secured once we have received your completed booking form with a cheque/ or request for invoice.
  4. We will then send confirmation of your booking.
  5. If there are no longer places available we will contact you to discuss options.
  6. Booked places are transferrable, please notify us of any name changes in advance where possible.
  7. Cancellation policy – a full refund will be given if we receive written notice of your cancellation 72 hours prior to the course date. This will allow us sufficient time to offer the place to others on our waiting list.
