Training Sessions for HOME Participating Jurisdictions and HUD Grantees
Overview: A refresher for experienced HOME PJs and HUD grantees, and also helpful to new staff requiring a detailedunderstanding ofthe Consolidated Plan process and HUD requirements. Staff with direct involvement in preparing and submitting the Consolidated Plan are encouraged to attend. Please note that this training is free of charge.
Consolidated Planning: Preparing, Performing and Succeeding
This 1 ½ -day training will provide HOME PJs and HUD grantees with the knowledge and tools to effectively prepare a consolidated plan in accordance with regulations and consolidated plan guidance. Some of the topics to be addressed include citizen participation, data needs and priorities, developing a strategic plan and annual action plan, performance measures and measuring outcomes, and the CAPER.There are two training locations:

To register for this training please visit Dennison Associate’s website at and locate the 2009 Consolidated Planningtraining event and the desired training location you would like to attend (SpringfieldorBoston). The registration process will begin on Friday, October 9, 2009.
Please be sure to register for only one location.To begin the registration process click on the “Online Registration” button under the desired location. Please note that each participant is required to register by October26, 2009. Registration will not be accepted on site.
HUD has set amaximum number of 50 participants for each training location, so be sure to register as soon as possible. Only staff of HOME PJs and HUD grantees with direct involvement in the Consolidated Planning process may attend this training. Consultants are not permitted to register.
