For your safety

To avoid accidents, after unpacking the displayer, keep the packing away from children ´s reach.

Do not install your displayer near heat sources or inflammables.

Don´t ever turn it off by pulling the electrical cord. Use the plug.

Use an exclusive socket (outlet) for the displayer; do not use any extension piece, neither of a T type.

Installation

Before turning your displayer on be sure to check if the tension listedon the tag is the same as of your net, just turn it on if they are the same.

Also check if the consumptionlistedon the tag is tolerated by your local net and be sure to turn it on only if it is.

If the local net tension presents abrupted variations, it will be necessary to use a voltage stabilizer,with capacity compatible to the watts consumptionof your displayer.

The cable should not be connected to a neutral cable of the electric power nor to any other electric or hydraulic systems. To assure the correct landing execution (fio terra), follow the ABNT-NBR 5410 code, section “Bare wiring”, orask for the help of a reliable electrician.

Due to being an open displayer, be sure it will be out of reaching external air circulation and not too close to heat steams like fans, heaters, or any other equipment that may cause any

Influence in the refrigeration, this may cause problems like the increasing of the consumption and lack of effectiveness .

Keep the entranceand exit of the refrigerating equipment clear in order to have a perfect air circulation.

Install it on a dry and leveled surface, although small leveling adjustments can made through the adjustable feet

Usage

To turn your displayer on/off, just connect or disconnect it from the outlet.

For every time it is disconnected, at least 5 minutes must be allowed before turning it on again.

Before using the displayer the first time, allow it on, empty for at least 2 hours so it will reach the ideal temperature for a perfect functioning. Follow the same procedure when cleaning it.

It is important not to overload it with goods, not to obstruct the air flow of the entrance, as well as no tags that may avoid the clear circulation must be glued in the inner displayer.

Temperature

The control of the internal temperature is done by a thermostat with a scale from 1 to 7, and leaves the plant adjusted to go from +3ºC. to +12ºC. In order to get colder temperatures, just turn the Dial (button) to positions 6 or 7, and to positions 1 or 2 to get less cold.

The thermostat model GSTO-130 is located in the external lower side of the displayer (below its head). Modeo GSTO-240 is equipped with two engines,two thermostats,being one for each engine, and are also located on the external lower sides of the displayer, one on the right side and the second on the left side.

The temperature of the displayerdepends on some factors such:

-Environment temperature;

-Daily goods circulation;

-Quantity of stored goods;

- The clear circulation of the air in the equipment;

- The clear circulation of the air in the inlet and outlets of the displayer;

- Installation out of the reach of external air flows;

- Air umidity.

This displayer has been developed to work under conditions with the highest temperatures in the environment around de 25ºC and humidity of the air around 65%.

Thermometer

It is located in the internal frontal part of the displayer – next to the air inlet, and allows the observation of the internal temperature of the cabinet.

Total Volume

The total volume of the displayer is of approximately:

-880 liters for the displayer model GSTO-130;

-1700 liters for the displayer model GSTO-240;

Shelves

Are made of steel with electrolytic painting .

Height adjustments are allowed as well as the tags compartments (optional).

Illumination

With fluorescent lamps, turned on/off through an on/off-key, placed on the external right side of the displayer, right below the head..

The displayer model GSTO-130 has one lamp and the displayer model GSTO-240 has two lamps, placed on the superior part (advertisement poster) of the displayer.

Plastic Curtain

We suggest that while the place is closed the plastic curtain is used, it can be found on the outside lid of the displayer, in order to cover its front assuring the retention of the cold inside the displayer, allowing the compressor to work less and resulting in great savings of energy.

Defrost /Cleaning

The evaporator defrost is done automatically through a Timer (time controller), adjusted at the factory, for a 15 minute-defrost for each 24 hrs of work, being that 8 daily stops for a defrost of 15 minutes every 2:45hrs of work. The water that comes from the defrost goes to a reservoir like a drawer and must be emptied daily.It can be reached through the frontal part of the displayer –see picture beside. We suggest, if possible to send this water straight to a drain, avoiding this way the need of emptying the water reservoir.

Important: At the DEFROST time the thermometer will show na increase in the temperature of the air inside the displayer.This is a brief period of time ( displayer off) and will not cause damages to the refrigerated goods.

To keep the performance of the equipment a regular cleaning of the displayer must be done, and for that follow the steps:

- take the goods out, keeping them refrigerated;

- turn the plug off the outlet;

- take out the inferior trays to reach the air passage;

-clean the air passages, removing any dirt that may be there;

- clean it only with a moisted cloth soaked in water and neutral soap; do not squirt water and avoid wetting the electrical part of the displayer.Don´t use chemical or dangerous products like alcohol, kerosene or solvents.

With the plug out of the socket it´s suggested a regular cleaning to be made on the condensator using a vacuum cleaner or a duster to keep the good performance of the dispalyer.

Timer

This displayer has a time controller known as Timer, which function is to establish the intervals among the defrosts.

In case of needing to change the defrost time, please contact Gelopar or an authorized service center .

Useful information

During longer periods of desuse (vacations, for example), we advise you to keep the displayer off, with the plug out of the outlet.

During days when the humidity is elevated (rainy days) it is normal to notice there´s more sweat than on the other days, mainly next to the windows and less on the other external parts of the displayer. This may occur due to different temperatutes (internal x external), it is not a manufacture´s defect but a natural phenomenon of the climate.

In places with air conditioning this problem almost does not exist.

Tips and Advices

Avoid the contact of any grease with the plastic parts of the displayer, it may cause damage to them.

Do never take out the trays of the air compartment, with the displayer on.

Be careful not to let the electrical cable exposed.If someone trips on the cable it may get damaged interrupting the power, besides personal damages. Make the connection of the cable where there won´t be people or things around.

Environment

The materials used for the packing of this displayer are recyclable, this way try to separateplastic, paper, wood and send them to recycling companies.

This displayer uses the fluid refrigeratingR-22 (Hidrofluorcabono HFC), which is safe for the ozone layer and causes almost no harmto the greenhouse effect.

Troubleshooting

The problem is:

/ Probable Causes / Needed corrections
The equipment won´t turn on. / -Plug is disconnected from the outlet.
-Bad outlet or without power.
-Burnt fuse or disconnected disjunctor.
