Tombola - Once again we are holding a tombola at East Kirkby Aviation Centre on Monday 29th May. If anyone would like to donate any items for this, we would be very grateful. Please take them to Tyto Alba, Cole Lane, or ring Cheryl Steele on 01205 480477.

Recycling - The church continues to collect old newspapers, card and paper for recycling, to raise funds. Please take your papers to the bins outside the Green Barn on Back Lane. Please will you flatten any cardboard boxes so that there is room for more card and keep the paper and cardboard in separate bins.

Afternoon Teas - Tea and cakes will be served at the church on Sundays 25th June, 30th July and 20th August, from 2pm to 4pm, outside if the weather is good or inside if not so good. Please support our new venture.

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS

Dog Fouling - It has been reported that dog walkers are not using the 5 dog bins provided around the village.

The red dog bins are situated at the following areas:-

1.The junction of Cul de Sac/Fen Road

2.On the east side of the foot bridge at the end of the Cul de Sac

3.Half way along Back Lane

4.Near the glass recycling bank at the dead end of Church Road

5.On Hagnaby Lane near the Boston Road public footpath

Dog faeces are being dumped in dykes, at the base of trees, or left in bags at the side of the road. This practice usually takes place in the evenings.

The clerk will be informing the dog warden at East Lindsey District Council.

There is a fine if the perpetrators are caught not clearing up dog faeces from footpaths, pavements, roadways, or anywhere dogs are being walked.

War Memorial - The Parish Council has tried on numerous occasions since last October to get the company who repaired the War Memorial clock to send an engineer to repair it again as it has not kept correct time or chimed properly. An engineer came in March to have a look at the clock. Due to the clock not working, condensation has settled on the cables and part of the clock mechanism causing rust to form. The engineer will be writing a report for the clock company, to date the Parish Council has not received a copy.

Potholes in the village have been reported again. Residents can also report the potholes to Lincolnshire County Council o 01522 782070, or complete a form online.

At a recent meeting with Highways potholes were discussed. The advice given was that members of the public should not fill in the potholes themselves.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish will be held on 2nd May 2017 at 7.30pm in Stickford Community Centre.

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council will be held on 9th May 2017 at 7.30pm in Stickford Community Centre. There will be a 15 minute open forum at the start of the meeting. Pam Bryant, Chairman
