New “Crash” Starz Original Series Lands at Best Buywith Sneak Preview, Joint Promo Campaign

Minneapolis, Minn. and Englewood, Colo. – Sept. 27, 2008 – The first original dramaticseries from premium TV provider Starz Entertainment, “Crash,” will be the centerpiece of an upcoming multi-tactical, joint promotional campaign with Best Buy. 100,000 “Crash” promotional DVDs containing both episodes 1 and 2 of the much-anticipated “Crash” series on Starz will be given away in Best Buy retail stores nationwide and through BestBuy.com. Consumers making any “TV on DVD” purchase beginning on Sunday, September 28, 2008 will be eligible to receive the DVDs at checkout (or through the mail for BestBuy.com purchases). A $50 Best Buy gift card offer for new Starz subscribers will be included in the promotional “Crash” DVDs.

The “Crash” series DVD promotion will be communicated through a variety of in-store, online and advertising vehicles.

Co-produced with Lionsgate and from the producers of the Academy Award®-winning Best Motion Picture of 2006, “Crash” is a provocative new 13-episode drama starring an ensemble cast led by film icon Dennis Hopper. Set in Los Angeles, the series explores the complexities of social and racial tolerance and the meaning of the American dream through characters whose lives intersect and collide.
