A PC or virtual machine will need to be available for the docQmanager installation.
This will be available for the installation
See appended System Requirements specification sheet
Please note that the Print Room will need access to this PC. This could be direct access (so the PC is in the Print Room), or remote access such as RDP or RemoteApp or VNC.
PLEASE NOTE: RemoteApp requires a Microsoft RDS CAL licence for each user or PC accessing the server.
How many operator(s) will be accessing docQmanager?
Is this PC currently or going to be used for any other use, for example as a general use PC, as the print server etc. Please note that this server should not be used for any cost recovery software e.g. PCounter, PaperCut. An Equitrac DRE may be installed here but not the Equitrac CAS or other modules.
Which operating system are you running on this PC? This MUST be a supported o/s:
See appended System Requirements specification sheet
How much hard disk space do you have on this PC (space is important for spool file storage; speed of hard disk access is also important)?
See appended System Requirements specification sheet
How much memory do you have on this PC (the more print jobs that you will have on the system at any one time, the more memory that should be put in the PC)?
See appended System Requirements specification sheet
What network operating system are you using? (e.g. Active Directory)
To allow configuration for user notification emails, please provide the IP address of an SMTP server:
The docQticket Client is used to submit jobs (so users can go File…Print), the MSI installation for this is typically packaged for deployment and made available on a network share. All clients must have READ rights to both this SMB share level and the NTFS file properties. Note that different clients can be packaged up, e.g. to connect to different pull-print servers (a tool is provided for configuring the MSI package details).
This will be available for the installation
What name would you like the docQticket Client printer queue to be called? This is the name of the queue that each user will have on their desktop. When they print to this it will cause the job ticket to appear. The default name is “Job Ticketing” however the name of this printer can be changed, e.g. “OneQ”, “Printers”, Staff Printers”:
Select the pull print system you’ll be using with OneQ:

Print Accounting software

/ Required manufacturer licence
Equitrac Office / Express / External Data Connector (one per OneQ connector / server)
Equitrac Professional / Disbursement Charging capability
PCounter / PCounter Pro (licensed to the Pcounter server)
InePro / DocuPro / UIS Licence
SafeCom / Administrator API licence
PaperCut
Other (please specify)
How will you be charging back for your print room jobs:
Charging to individual users
Charging to departments (Equitrac Office / Express only)
Equitrac Professional only: where do client and matter codes come from? Is there another database system which stores these details – please supply (e.g. SQL) connection details:
Charging to cost centres / billing codes / shared accounts
Charging to auto codes (PCounter only)
- Defined in Pcounter? Or defined in AD? AD schema property: ______
How many pull print servers do you have? These have different terms depending on your pull print system, e.g. Equitrac calls them DREs. Please note that the initial pull print server requires a OneQ server licence, and then each additional pull print server requires a OneQ connector. The docQmanager server also required a OneQ connector:
OneQ supports various methods for selection and distribution across the pull-print servers. Choose 1 from:
Random (the choice of pull-print server to receive jobs is random)
Least Busy (the choice of pull-print server is determined by the one with the least number of jobs on the pull-print input queue)
Failover (the first pull-print server which the client connects to – determined by the client installation – will be the one which receives the job, unless the client cannot communicate in which case it will automatically try the other servers in turn)
docQcollate is a separately licensable chargeable option for the job ticket client which enables the client to submit multiple jobs under one ticket. Is docQcollate to be licensed?
docQcollate is to be licensed
Is there a requirement for clients to submit photocopy jobs with a job ticket (referred to as Hard Copy Ticketing)? This will be added to the docQticket Client MSI package and appear as a shortcut on each client’s desktop. Alternatively hard copy jobs can be requested through the docQticket Web site.
Hard Copy Ticketing required
What operating system(s) are your clients running (those that will be installing the local print queue for ticketed submission)? Only the following are supported:
Windows Server 2008 / Windows 7
Windows Server 2008 R2 / Windows 8
Windows Server 2012 / Windows 8.1
Windows Server 2012 R2 / Windows 10
Do you want to use client-less job submissionwhere users, including Apple Mac users, can use their browser to upload documents?
Yes No
A domain level service account is required that is a local administrator on all the One servers.
This will be available for the installation
If you have an existing form that users fill out for print room job requests, then please return a copy of it with this form including lists for all of the options, e.g. if there is a section on the form for a choice of paper colour then please provide that list.
If the installation also requires cost calculation as part of the job ticket design, then please include when returning this form a copy of any price list that is to be used as well as a list of pricing for the MFD pull-printing.
This has been returned with this form
There is a background logo that is used in the job ticket (see screenshot below). If you would like your own logo please include a copy in either GIF, PNG, or JPEG format and it should be no bigger than 200 by 200 pixels.

Please detail the print driver that will be used on the pull-print submission – the inbound print queue. Ideally please note where a copy of this driver can be downloaded from:
Are there any special tray requirements for the pull-print system? Please include any mention of paper size(s) or types other than A4, and the numbers of trays, as well as if the bypass tray is required:
What finishing options are required for the pull-print system, i.e. is stapling available on the MFDs where jobs will be released from and if so then which stapling options?:
Please detail all the print drivers that will be used in the Print Room and what print language they will be (e.g. PCL5e, PCL5c, PCL6 / PCL-XL, PostScript). Ideally please note where a copy of each driver can be downloaded from:
