How to become a WTC student:

Complete your application form and pay your application fee.

Have your high school and college transcripts sent immediately to WTC’s Admissions office.

Have your SAT or ACT scores sent to WTC’s Admissions Office or take the COMPASS test at WTC.

Confirm your acceptance to the College by meeting with the WTC Director of Admissions (Building A, Room 212).

For financial Aid:

  • Get an email address. All correspondence from the Department of Education (DOE) or the Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) can only be shared via email.
  • Get a pin number at www.pin.ed.gov;
  • Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be sure to include WTC’s code 009322;
  • After you get your Student Aid Report (SAR) form the Department of Education, go to and complete your registration and interview for virtual financial aid processing. If you do not complete this step after completing the FAFSA, your financial aid cannot be finalized, which will jeopardize your college status. High school transcripts must be on file to complete your financial aid package;
  • High school students must complete an Eligibility Requirement Waiver form. (Males 18 and over need to provide proof of selective service registration). Dual Enrollment students need not complete a FAFSA or VFAO;
  • If you are a Veteran and wish to apply for Veteran’s Administration (VA) assistance, you need to fill out a VA Intent to Enroll form (available from the Financial Aid office) and provide a copy of your DD214 and Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE).

Meet with your advisor to determine your class schedule. (Office hours are posted outside advisors’ office doors.)

Register during early or open registration (go to “academic calendar” at www.wiltech.edu to see dates and times).

Take your advisement form to Financial Aid for approval.

Go to the Business Office (Building A, front lobby) to confirm your payment options (Business Office hours: Mon.-Thurs. from 8 a.m.-7p.m.). You MUST finish your registration process at the Business Office or your registration is not complete and your schedule will be dropped.

Get your official stamped course schedule at the Business Office. You are required to show it to each of your instructors during the first week of class.

Get your WTC ID in the library (Building C) and be sure it is visible on your person while on campus. IDs are required for all classes and transactions in the Business Office, Financial Aid Office, library and bookstore.

Get your WTC parking sticker in Student Services (Building A) and be sure it is displayed as directed. You must bring your car license tag number with you to register for parking. Ticketing is enforced.

Check with the WTC Bookbag (bookstore) for availability of required books for your classes. You must have a WTC student ID to purchase items with financial aid monies.

Check the academic calendar at www.wiltech.edu for class start dates each semester.
