  1. SUPERINTENDENT: CIVIL MAINTENANCE

(Strandfontein, Doornbaai, Papendorp, Ebenhaeser & Rural)

Key performance areas: To exercise management, control and supervision over the personnel, equipment, vehicles, functions and activities of the civil engineering services branch to ensure the maintenance and effective functioning of the water-, sewerage-, storm water-,road networks and plants and community facilities of the municipality ∙Performs sanitary services ∙Performs certain technical, administrative and other tasks and duties associated with above functions ∙Purchase of materials, supplies, tools, equipment or fuel for his/her branch∙Performs functions associated with the transportation of personnel, tools, equipment, materials and refuse ∙Performs other general administrative functions.

Minimum requirements:N3 Civil Trade Certificate with 2 years relevant experience or Grade 12 with 5 years relevant experience ∙Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Valid Code C drivers licence and Public Driver’s Permit (PDP) ∙Good human relations, leadership qualities and organisation skills.

  1. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT - VREDENDAL

Key performance areas :Perform activities / tasks associated with the compiling of a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) for the municipalityand with the implementation of the (WSP) and the reporting thereabout∙ Performactivities / tasks regarding the functioning of the Training Committee of the municipality ∙ Perform administrative tasks associated with the processing of applications of personnel for municipal study bursaries and training agreements ∙ Liaise with personnel, councillors, training providers, the LGSETA and all other relevant training stakeholders regarding enquiries about training or any other relevant matters∙Performs other general administrative functions

  1. SENIOR ADMIN OFFICER (PERFORMANCE AND COMPLIANCE) - VREDENDAL

Key performance areas: Co-ordinate the Performance Management System (PMS) of the Municipality, which includes the Municipality’s performance as an organization and that of all senior managers ∙ Co-ordinate the legal compliance responsibility of the Municipality as required by the Auditor General ∙ Responsible to co-ordinate the compilation, distribution and timeous submission of the Annual Report ∙ Responsible for submitting the IDP and all other related documentation as per legal requirements and timeframes ∙Performs other general administrative functions.

Minimum requirements:National Diploma in Public Administration ∙2 years relevant experience in Local Government ∙ Knowledge of relevant legislation ∙Computer Literate ∙ Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Valid Code B drivers licence ∙Good writing-, interpersonal-, presentation- and communication skills.

  1. COMMUNITY LIAISON WORKER ( 2 POSTS)

KLAWER AND VANRHYNSDORP

Key performance areas: Apply the credit control and indigent policy of the municipality in order to promote a culture of paying municipal accounts and to help poor households with indigent subsidies ∙Assist the housing section regarding housing matters and doing liaison work in the community to promote community and local economic development ∙Handles enquiries and complaints regarding municipal accounts and services ∙Performs other administration tasks and functions.

Minimum requirements: Grade 12 (NQF 4) ∙1 year relevant experience ∙Computer Literate∙ Valid Code B driver's licence ∙ Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Good human relations.

Salary: R133 776 per annum (T7-TASK post level)

  1. COMMITTEE CLERK – VREDENDAL

Key performance areas: Performs tasks / activities associated with co-ordinating the logistical requirements for council and committee meetings ∙ Provision of secretarial support at meetings as necessary ∙Performsadministrative tasks regarding the preparation of documentation and the circulationof correspondence∙ Assist with the recordings of all meetings ∙ Performs relieve duties regarding the Switchboard Operator and the compiling of agendas and minutes for council and other committee meetingsas necessary∙Performs other general tasks and functions.

Minimum requirements: Grade 12 (NQF 4) ∙1 year relevant experience ∙Computer Literate and very good typing skills∙ Valid Code B driver's licence ∙ Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Good human relationsand communication skills.

  1. CLERK (PROMOTION OF PUBLIC PARTICIPATION)

CONTRACT POST FOR A PERIOD UNTIL 31 JULY 2018 -VREDENDAL

Key performance areas:Co-ordinate and organise all sector, public feedback, Ward Committee and other public participation meetings • Preparation of agendas, minutes and attendance registers for all public participation meetings • Attend all public participation meetings • Handling, follow up and record keeping of telephonic complaints of wards and refer it to the relevant Directors • Writing of reports • Perform other general administrative tasks and duties

Minimum requirements:Grade 12 (NQF 12) ∙Computer Literate ∙Valid Code B driver's licence ∙Proficiency in at least 2 official languages of the Western Cape(Afrikaans and English or Xhosa) ∙ Good human relations∙Must be prepared to work weekends and after hours.

Salary :R7 500 per month, all inclusive package
