Double and Single wide components function as usual with options to display short text, images, number of items, etc.
The Select Lists are designed to include an image title to the left of the select list.
If you choose to use Text Title, the title will display above the control.
The Select List components in this layout are designed to be 300 pixels wide, font size 12. You can edit these settings in the component modifier. The highlighted fields can be edited to customize the component. As always, first you select the content category. Category OTHER or NAVIGATION will not work with the select control. ONLY CONTENT CATEGORIES will display.
Category Requirements for Select List Component
The Select List is a variation on the List with More component.
The category chosen to display in the component MUST be a CONTENT category.
OTHER or NAVIGATION will not work.
The CONTENT category that you select for the component must have a page layout. The Link to More in the Select List is programmed to go to the page for the Content category. This will be this page that users will see when they click on the "Link to More" that appears in the select List.
If the subsequent page has subcategories, these categories must also be CONTENT categories.
The category for the List with More component must be designated PARENT DESCENDING in order for the content from the subcategories to appear.
Category must have content for component to display.
Category must have more content than List Length in order to display the Link to More.
Example: If there are 10 items in the category and the List Length is set to 5, then the Link to More will Display taking the user to a list of all items.
Example: If there are 10 content items in the category, and the List Length is set to 15, then the Link to More will not display because all content is listed. There is no need to go to another page to see all content.
Optional Select List Component Display Modifications:
Title Art: Default is 75 pixels x 20 pixels positioned to the left. This asset must be created for each select list and uploaded to the CMA. Replace the placeholder asset id with your asset ID.
If you choose to enter Title Text it will appear ABOVE the select list control. In this case, you may want to change the page layout. Contact eMichigan for assistance.
Border: Default is white. You can add a border if you choose.
Background: Default is blank. White background is recommended.
Select List Width: Default is 300 pixels
Select List Font Size: default is 12
Select List Prompt: Must be edited to reflect your content. If not edited, the list will display: "replace this prompt with your own" as the first item in the list.
This is a sample Component Modifier for ONE SELECT LIST component.
Similar recommended modifications will need to be made on ALL components being used in the layout.
