Mental Health Support Worker– Housing & Recovery Service

As a multi award winning organisation we are seeking experienced support workers with relevant tertiary qualifications and the skills and abilities to contribute to the positive outcomes being achieved by our services.

We have two interesting and challenging full timeroles in our West Auckland Housing & Recovery service sites. You would be expected to work shifts on a rotating roster. The role would suit someone with a passion for serving the people of the West Auckland community; providing them with a service based on strong values and using Charles Rapp’s Strength’s Model to support them in their recovery.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven competency working within the mental health field and an understanding and appreciation of Strengths and Recovery-Based practice
  • The National Certificate in Mental Health or another relevant qualification
  • Excellent communication, relationship and advocacy skills
  • The ability to work innovatively and proactively to achieve client and service goals
  • A positive, responsible and professional attitude
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • A current clean driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate
