Goals:
Example: The goals are fuel reduction and structure ignitability reduction that will protect this community and its essential infrastructure. It also includes a wildfire pre-suppression plan.
4) PRIORTIZED MITIGATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Example: The following recommendations were developed by the Alabama Forestry Commission and local fire department as a result of the community wildfire risk assessment and follow-up meetings with community stakeholders. A priority order was determined based on which mitigation projects would best reduce the hazard of wildfire in the assessment area.
Proposed Community Hazard Reduction Priorities (Actions to be taken by the community, subdivision, or homeowner’s association)
1. / Replace these examples: (1) Perform hazardous fuel reduction on the south side of Park Campgrounds. (2) Create defensible space around homes that borders the Jay Timber Tract. (3) Create an emergency exit in Wood Bridge Estates. Build an unimproved road from Juniper Cul-de-sac to Bay Rd. (4) Establish a fuelbreak between Cedar Grove and the bordering forested areas of Wildwood Forest. (5) Establish a permanent hazardous fuel reduction break at least 30’ wide around Costal Plains Industrial Park. (6) Provide emergency access at Cadet Circle with only one way in/out; connect to improved jeep trail with emergency-use gate.
