The AMWA Forest of Dean Walking Weekend 2016 Friday 29th April To Monday 02nd May

Come and join AMWA on a meandering walk through the Forest of Dean.

Walking through ancient woodland, along wide paths, this interesting walk will take you across the River Wye, with spectacular views. The routes vary from 4 to 10 miles and with something suitable for every member of the club.

Leaving the private rally field (that has been booked exclusively for AMWA) we will follow a route with 2 river crossings (you’ll stay dry!!) to a great lunchtime pub.

Event Dates: / Fri 29th April / Arrive from 12:00.Meet everyone, walk in the woods or just relax
Sat 30th April / Daytime - Main walk leaving campsite at 10:00
Sun 1st May / Optional walks around the forest which abuts the campsite
Mon 2nd May / Depart the campsite by 12:00
Main Event:
- Pre departure meeting / 0900 at the campsite
- Start Time: / 10:00 Long route departs
10:30 Short and Buggy friendly routes depart.
- Note: / All walks depart from the campsite rally field.
Anyone not camping should be at the Rally field by the appropriate start time.

Campsite:

- Site: Rushmere Farm Campsite.

A private rally field has been reserved for AMWA. It is an open field with good hedges and is away from most other campers.

It has toilets, showers, hot and cold water and motorhome disposal points. Main shops are within ½ mile.

Please be aware that there are no electrical hookups. Generators may be used.

Bookings: Complete the campsite booking form and return it to the event organiser by Sat 23rd April.

Dogs: All dogs must be kept under control at all times within the campsite grounds.
