Global Studies Internship/International Experience Travel Grant Application

The School of Politics and Global Studies (SPGS) offers travel grants for students completing their SGS International Experience abroad. Funds may be used to help offset associated costs and awards are based on financial need, and academic merit (GPA of 2.5 and above).

Students must be enrolled in SGS 484 or its equivalent as approved by the Global Studies/International Coordinators,Dr. Gina Woodall or Gisela Grant, be a Global Studies major, and be enrolled full-time. Students must have on file the FAFSA application at the Student Financial Assistance Office for the current academic year and submit the travel grant application at least 30 days before the travel date. The travel grant may be used for internship related costs only and travel must be completed within 12 months of receipt of the award.

Applicant:Complete this form and submit along with your unofficial transcript, FAFSA award summary sheet (including Pell Grant award) and a statement describing the program you plan to attend, what you hope to achieve, and how this experience will help you in your career and/or academic goals.
