The West County Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) has been very active supporting and

assisting the Fenton and West County Precinct, as well as, the St. Louis County Police in general.

Our members have provided 234 hours of volunteer assistance. They assisted in the following activities: correcting Fenton Precinct ticket books, updating business contacts for the Seventh Precinct, Missouri Child Identification Program (MOCHIP) programs with the Seventh Precinct and Masons, the Queeny Park Safety Village, the St. Louis County Police Welfare Association Silent Auction, the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy role playing, and ongoing assistance with the Evidence Property Room relocation at Police Headquarters.

The CPAAA have fun getting together at our membership meetings, Potluck Social and Trivia Night fundraiser. We look forward to hosting a barbeque in the future.

To belong to the CPAAA, you must have graduated from a St. Louis County Police Citizen’s Police Academy and pay a membership fee of $15.

If you would like to strengthen your association and relationship with those who “Serve and Protect”, consider attending the Citizens Police Academy and joining the CPAAA after your graduation

SUMMER CRIME TIP

Many crimes occurring in our community are “crimes of opportunity”. Several of these crimes could have been prevented. Occasionally at night, people roam our subdivisions checking vehicles to see if the doors are unlocked or entering and looking through our garages when the door is left open. While an officer is on patrol, it might not be noticeable if one of these types of crimes has occurred. We can do our part by making sure vehicles are locked and valuables are taken inside for the night. By closing our garage doors, we make sure no one can enter our garage or the inside of the residence while we are sleeping. These simply steps can help to avoid an unpleasant experience. Further safety tips may be obtained from the St. Louis County Police website.
