Experience
§ Significant experience of teaching children within the age range covered by the school.
§ Proven ability to teach effectively within the age range covered by the school, to ensure pupils achieve the highest possible standards.
§ A clear operational understanding of curriculum organisation within the primary phase.
§ The ability to use assessment as a tool to raise individual and whole school attainment.
§ A good working knowledge of the interpretation and use of school, local and national data.
§ Experience of effective subject leadership in the primary phase.
§ Commitment and ability to support the development of family and community links.
§ Evidence of extra curricular work.
§ Good personal, interpersonal and communication skills.
§ The ability to motivate staff and pupils.
§ Proven ability to use ICT across the curriculum. / § Further qualifications and / or studies relevant to the age-range.
§ NPQH or commitment to pursue on appointment.
§ Sound operational experience of Foundation Phase organisation and assessment.
§ Working knowledge of strategies to develop bilingualism throughout the school.
