CMEA Northern Regional Music Festival Auditions

I would encourage you to try out for the Northern Regional Music Festival that is held in January. It is a chance for you to further your singing, have a great experience with a nationally recognized choral director and meet students from the Northern region of Connecticut.

If you make it into the regional festival, you could be eligible to audition and sing in the All-State Choir (which performs in places like the Convention Center in Hartford, and CCSU among others). If you go to the All-State festival and score high enough in your auditions, you could go on to the All-Eastern (US) festival (held 2 years ago in Harford but could be anywhere on the eastern seaboard).

Auditions for the regional festival will be held at Bristol Eastern High School on Saturday, November 15 (times TBA based on registration). It is a great opportunity to do this since the audition is in our own town. It will allow you to audition and still have time for others things when you are done.

Please see me about this opportunity (I might seek you out – so do not be surprised). I have audition information (repertoire, scales and sight-singing) and will work with all who sign up for this opportunity.

Mr. Nelson.
