Main duties – Functionality wise:

Prepare Budgeted Income Statement.

Overall responsibility of the receivable operations.

Develop appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures in line with best practices, monitor the agreed procedures and seek continuous improvement to enhance the receivable operations.

Responsibility of Powercampus system – Designing data entry mechanism to ensure the system is updated with respect to relevant modules.

Supervision of GL accounts and develop chart of accounts to ensure receivables operations are correctly captured in the GL.

Guidance and supervision of system staff to ensure accuracy and reporting timeliness with regard to receivables area.

Supervise and develop reporting aspects of other incomes - accommodation income, rental income of facilities like shops, canteen to ensure the accuracy of the transaction reporting and subsequent follow-up for collection of outstanding balances.

Supervision of banking transactions and reconciliation of cash/bank/credit card on regular basis (weekly/monthly/annually).

Ensure timely submission of invoices to students/sponsors and effective follow for the payments.

Preparation of detailed outstanding reports, scheduling and participating regular meetings with RSA staff to resolve tuition fee related issues. (monthly)

Liaising with Internal & External auditors, preparation of various schedules, financial reports as per auditor’s requirements (annually)

Preparation of departmental operational plans based strategic plan of the University.

Assist the HoD to formulate university insurance policies especially with regard to the areas affecting students (eg. Personal accidents cover etc.

Ensure timely submission of TRC claim documents, uploading of contracts, invoices in TRC portal and follow up for the funds receivable.

Supervise and develop reporting aspects of other incomes - accommodation income, rental income of facilities like shops, canteen to ensure the accuracy of the transaction reporting and subsequent follow-up for collection of outstanding balances.

Ensure correctness of university banking transactions related to receivables and payables areas, including usage of company credit cards and petty cash floats maintained at various points.

Liaising with other departments and business units on receivables related matters.
