DearSterlingMiddle School Parent/Guardian,

My name is Mrs. Bramhall and I am your child’s Math teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. I am so excited to be working with your child

Our shared goal is to make sure that your child develops the fundamental skills they will need to move on to the next level of math. I work hard to make sure that math is fun and relevant and to fully engage each student in the learning process. A strong emphasis is placed on individual responsibility. Each student is respected as an important member of the class and is expected to treat others in the same manner. They are responsible for adhering to stated classroom rules, working together cooperatively, completing assignments, and arriving on time with the necessary materials.

Mastering math depends largely on practice. For this reason, you can expect your child to have homework after every block. They must practice each skill as we learn it.

I encourage you to touch base with me to discuss your child’s progress. I can be contacted at school via telephone at 571-434-4520 or by email at .

Enclosed is a copy of the class expectations that your child has received.

I look forward to an exciting and rewarding school year for your child.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Bramhall
