4.  Amend or approve the minutes of October 24, 2011 City Council Meeting

5.  Mayor’s Comments:

  1. The Youth Leadership class will be attending the City Council meeting. They will be present about 6:30 to meetand greet the Mayor and Council.
  2. Reminder of a zoning change request from PRD to A-1 for Worth Enterprises, Inc. The land is located on Dews Pond Road parcel number CG55-127 which contains 176 acres. The ZAB will meet on December 8th and the public hearing will be on December 12th.
  3. Announce to the public the Mayor’s Christmas Motorcade. The Northwest Regional Hospital has been closed and the mental health clients were moved to community-based housing. GMA is continuing to work with the cities in the Northwest region and the state coordinators to ensure that the clients continue to receive Christmas gifts through the Motorcade. City Hall will be taking donations until December 8th, 2011.
  4. Comment on the results of General Municipal Elections as follows:

1)  The 2012 SPLOST passed with 2,069 voters in favor versus 926 against.

A.  Second reading of a taxicab regulatory license request by Daniel A. Leon D/B/A Taxi Daniel, at a location of 94 East May Street. The public hearing will be on November 28th.

9.  New Business:

A.  Stacey Long from the Voluntary Action Center requests to address the Mayor and Council to talk about November being Homeless Awareness Month.

B.  First reading of an annexation and zoning of C-2 for 0.29 acres at a location of 1109 South Wall Street for Linda Walters. The ZAB will meet on January 5th 2012 and the Public Hearing will be on January 9th 2012.

C.  Discuss options to amend the Calhoun Code of Ordinances Chapter 14- Animals concerning farm animals within the City limits.

D.  First reading of a taxicab regulatory license request by Manuel Reyes Salguero D/B/A: Reyes Taxi, at a location 820 North Wall Street. The public hearing will be on December 12th.

E.  Alcohol- Beer, Wine, Liquor manager change request for The Kangaroo Express # 3513 at a location of 1476 Red Bud Road. The prior manager was Karen Aldridge and the proposed manager is Melissa Tomlinson.
