Re: Corporate Sponsorship for the Edelweiss Racing Team – children’s alpine skiing
As a member of the Edelweiss race team, I would like to invite [your company] to financially support our club of young athletes from the Outaouais region. In exchange, our team would negotiate a manner in which to promote your company through our regional Racing activities.
Over the years, the Edelweiss race team has developed a reputation of tough competition and big spirit among our competitors. The Edelweiss athletes are making a presence in the top 15 and on the podium regularly.
In order to sustain the best team, the Edelweiss race team recently updated its vision and mission. The Vision Statement is as follows: The Edelweiss ski race team is recognized as the place of choice for young athletes of all caliber. The Mission Statement is as follows: To provide the best learning environment to develop fast and efficient racing techniques.
Over the past 5 years, the number of athletes in the Edelweiss race team has tripled in size and has seen a marked improvement in its team spirit. More and more of our parents are becoming involved and play important roles as volunteers, which is a strong factor in our growing success as a club.
As with most other community sports, the Edelweiss Racing Team is a non-profit club that is largely volunteer-run, with relatively high club expenses. As an example, one drill bit for use in maintaining race courses costs approximately $200 each (several are required per ski season), and the use of radios for training and races costs our club over $1000 per year. To ensure all children achieve their full potential, our athletes can travel to other areas in the province to take advantage of training or provincial-level racing opportunities in order to stay competitive with other clubs and maintain a high skill level, which are further expenses.

We believe that a sponsor partnership with your organization could be beneficial to your company.
Our team would like to offer you the following three advantages, for the amount of $2000.
• Uniform sponsor. A Velcro-patch with your company logo would be a feature of the team jacket. Currently, there are 113 registered athletes for the season starting in January 2015. Your company will need to provide a jpeg version of your logo. The Edelweiss race team will manage its implementation.
· Website link on the Edelweiss race team website (www.teamedelweissequipe.com)
· Banner featuring your company, placed in the Edelweiss race room. This room is used by all Edelweiss athletes during regular ski training days (n=113, with approx. 100 parents). This room is also used during Edelweiss-hosted races (5 races in 2014). We estimate 150 racers and 200 parents during race days. Races are provided based on racer’s age. Your company will need to provide a banner.
