§  State Tournament Information (documents due to John Aguirre by Tuesday, March 1)

§  State Pilot Program- competitive equity (passed on Oct. 9 by CIF Federated Council for next two years)

o  Using criteria determined by the Section basketball advisory committee, the Section will rank 1 to 15 the State entry berths. This includes ALL 8 teams from the Open Division, Champions of Divisions 1 thru 5 and two runner-ups. We receive 13 guaranteed berths with the likelihood of two at-large berths for a total of 15.

o  Rankings/Divisions: #1 & #2 = Open Division; #3 thru #6 = Division 1; #7 thru #9 = Division 2; #10 & #11 = Division 3; #12 & #13 = Division 4; #14 & #15 = Division 5

o  There will NOT be State play-in games in Division 1 or 2 for either boys or girls for the next two years.
