Christmas Around the World Project

Due Tuesday, December 15th

With Christmas just around the corner, each 7th grader will be choosing a country to learn more about. Each student will create a poster & presentation about how Christmas is celebrated in that country.

Poster: 35 Points

On your poster, you must include the following elements [5 points each]:

1.  How to say “Merry Christmas” in that culture

2.  Food that is traditionally eaten at Christmas

3.  What the tree looks like: Ornaments? Decorations?

4.  What do people give as presents/gift-giving traditions?

5.  What the religious celebrations entail

6.  What the weather is like around Christmas time

7.  Any other information you find interesting

Presentation: 10 points

Beginning on December 15th, each student will present their project to the class by explaining how Christmas is celebrated in their chosen country.

Bibliography: 5 points

You will need to include a bibliography in MLA format (EasyBib.com) for any books, websites, etc. that you used during this project. You MUST include entries for any and all pictures that you use!
