Overview

This program series will be held the fourth Thursday of each month at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the East Auditorium. These conferences are intended for cardiovascular pediatricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologist, radiologists, emergency medicine, primary care physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, ancillary staff and allied health professionals who are involved in the management of pediatric patients.

Objectives:

  1. Identify electronic cigarettes and discuss their mechanics.
  2. Discuss the health impacts associated with electronic cigarettes.
  3. Review the public health impact of electronic cigarettes.

Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines is accredited by the Iowa Medical Society (IMS) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 credit™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

There will be a $5.00 fee assessed for non-Mercy employees who request CEU accreditation.

Certificates of Attendance will be given for 1 contact hour for other health care professionals upon request.
