Senior Choir
Senior Choir practices will resume on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the church. New members are welcome to come along to practice. Contact Stephanie Gavell at 834-3445.
CLB
Registration for CLB will begin on Thursday, September 15th at 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Topsail Elementary School gym. New members (boys & girls - ages 5 to 19) are welcome!

Cemetery Fall Clean-up
Parishioners are requested to remove Flower Pots, Artificial Flowers, and Headstone arrangements, from the gravesites of family loved ones prior to Saturday, September 24thto enable the Committee to have the grounds put in order before fall. Flower arrangements, etc., not removed by that date will be taken away and discarded.
Front Entrance Project Update
While we are somewhat behind our original schedule for the project, plans are ongoing for the installation of the new doors and entrance system. The stained glass work is nearing completion and the assembly of the entrance system has been started by our supplier Thomas Glass. They tell us the new entrance could be installed later this month or early October.
The cost estimates for the new ramp system have been quite high. We are hoping to apply to the federal government for funding to assist in that project. Project deadline is September 23. If our funding request is successful, our goal is for installation of the ramp in the spring. If unsuccessful, we may have to look at an alternate design in order to bring costs down.

Back to Church Sunday!!!
On Sunday, September 25th St. John the Evangelist will be holding a Back to Church Sunday event! Next week we will be distributing invitation/prayer cards for you to invite a loved one, friend and even a stranger to join us in worship! Our Annual Fall BBQ and kids carnival will be held after the 10:30 a.m. church service. More details to follow!
Admiral Coast Services
Will begin for the Fall on Sunday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. St. John the Evangelist will be holding services at Admirals Coast on the following Sundays: November 6th at 7:00; Saturday, December 24th at 11:00 a.m.; February 5th; March 4th; April 1st; May 6th and June 3rd. You are welcome to attend.
