Who may apply?
The Carnegie-Cameron Postgraduate Bursaries are open to students who are Scottish by birth, by descent (at least one parent born in Scotland) or have received 3 full years of secondary, further and/or higher education in Scotland.
Students must demonstrate that they meet the criteria envisaged by Andrew Carnegie: that they are qualified and deserving, industrious and ambitious and that they would derive particular benefit from undertaking a Postgraduate Masters.
The financial circumstances of applicants will also be taken into consideration during the selection process.
Any student meeting the above criteria and accepted on an eligible Postgraduate Degree programme may apply.
What courses are eligible?
Any one year (or two consecutive years if studying part-time) postgraduate degree courseis eligible, other than an MPhil or a similar programme undertaken solely by research. Postgraduate diploma or certificate courses are not eligible.

The Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and complies with the provisions of the Act. Applicants are reminded that, in order for the Carnegie Trust to manage awards, it will be necessary to store and process the information received through the universities the students have applied to. Data will be securely held and lawfully processed, it will be kept up-to-date, and not retained for longer than necessary. Data may also be used to compile published lists of award holders, which may be available on the Internet and in the Trust’s Annual Report. The Trust may contact award holders about its funding schemes, application processes and policies or to help evaluate these.
