AwazCDS-Pakistan invites applications for the position of Advocacy / Campaign Manager, based in Islamabad.
Salary Range: PKR.68-72K Per month and benefits are as per AwazCDS-Pakistan’ policy
The incumbent shall have good understanding of effective global/ national level advocacy tools, delivery and campaigning. Coalition building & strengthening and movement building on SRHR.
Brief Description:
The Advocacy/ Campaign Manager (ACM) is responsible for the management and implementation of SSM (Strengthening SRHR Movement) Project. The ACM facilitates, coordinates and inspires the SSM partners to execute their work to reform policies and practices regarding SRHR by involving government, policy makers, local organizations that are aligned to the goal of furthering SRH. Building organizational capacity ofprovincial and district partners such that rights-based philosophy of SRH is institutionalized within the partners organizations to foster SRH rights movement in Pakistan.
This position will report to Program Director and maintain a functional relationship with other strategic partners and supports units i.e. finance, administration, communication and programme quality and Impact and others. S/he retains a close working relationship with relevant project teams for accelerated and effective implementation of project/s and ensures horizontal integration with other programme. The incumbent will maintain liaison and networking with partners and other stakeholders including Government andNon Government agencies, implementing partners etc.
Following are given the roles and responsibilities that Advocacy/ Campaign Manager will have to perform under the supervision of Program Director.
Job Objective:
- Facilitate and lead a collaborative campaign design process with implementing partners, developcampaign strategy, work plans and facilitatemonitoring and evaluation framework in line with donorrequirements.
- Organize face-to-face and remote strategy meetings with implementing partners to ensure coordinatedprovincial and district advocacy and design campaigns.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Organize meetings of National Steering committee members.
- Assist in capacity assessment of district partners and developing and Finalization of training material on SRHRand prepare reports of related themes.
- Organize follow up/refresher training on SRHR and related themes at provincial level.
- Facilitate in conducting Research Study and publishing of research.
- Facilitate and guide in design and production of AWAZCDS publications and materials such as research products, best practices, brochures, newsletters, annual reports and uploading & hosting and launching of Web site and social media pages etc.
- Organize seminars for sensitization of parliamentarians / key decision maker / private & civil society representative on SRHR.
- Organize meetings with implementing partners and with stake holder at provincial and district level.
- Facilitate in formation of district and provincial advisory panel and National level advisory and organize bi-annually provincial advisory panels meetings.
- Facilitate in organizing National advisory panel (NAP) meetings for advocacy on SRHR.
- Facilitate in organizing learning forums at district, provincial and national level.
- Keep staff informed on the available resource materials especially those that are relevant to their work and research.
- Prepare and provide technical parts / input for monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual and project completion reports of the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualification and Competencies
- Master degree from a recognized university in social sciences. Preference will be given to the candidates with foreign degree in social sciences or with advance diploma related with SRH.
- 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience of working related with Reproductive Health programmes vis-a-vis SRHR related Youth programmes
- Has good understanding on Partnership management
- Programme design, implementation and monitoring on SRHR issues
- Knowledge and previous experience of high level advocacy and campaigning work
- Understanding of Govt. working system and activities.
- Strong facilitator, connector, communicator and leader;
- Strong understanding and experience on budget preparation and budget management
- Strong administrative and organizational skills;
- Supports the values and principles as described in organizational policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills and ability to coordinate the work of others, work to tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent projects/activities.
- Ability to interact effectively in geographically dispersed area of intervention
- Strong analytical, research and presentation skills
- Decision making ability even in complex and sensitive situations.
- Knowledge of advocacy, current affairs, political dynamics, governance, policy analysis will be add on

Working conditions and level of travel required:
- The post holder will be based in National Secretariat of AwazCDS-Pakistan, Islamabad.
- Frequent travel across Pakistan.
