Description:

We are seeking project staff to work in a transformation Programme (PILoT) Platforms Infrastructure and live Services Transformation. This person will be responsible for converting business requirements into solution and architecture designs which should ultimately constitute the blueprint for the solution, identify any risks in the solution that can be flagged for the governance and assurance responsibilities of I&P.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integration planning between systems.
  • Execution of all integration activity, using supplier technical resources where appropriate.
  • Assurance that the solutions deliver end-to-end services.
  • Collaborating with projects & programmes and suppliers when integrating IT assets within and across service lines.
  • Developing an oversight of interfacing systems and understanding commercial and delivery landscape between these systems.
  • Identifying Integration Management process, practice and products.
  • Oversight of the development, management and maintenance of an Integration Asset Register that provides the ability to understand and judge the integration asset value to the organisation and hone in on key opportunities or areas of concern for management attention.
  • Independent assessment of the Integration complexity and capability needs of a project.
  • Ensuring that projects have the necessary support and professional sponsorship for securing the services they need to fulfil the identified Integration needs/capabilities.
  • Conducting Integration Service delivery assurance checks at project, account and portfolio level to identify systemic issues for improvement and or areas of best practice for re-use.

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Develop the plan to procure and integrate new engineering capability into Infrastructure and Platforms.
  • Complete Project Plans, and programme plans.
  • Manage change and ensure the new teams integrate with existing capability.
  • Produce Project RAID – Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependency logs.
  • Produce Project RACI and RASCI.
  • Produce robust project and financial reports and support Programme reporting.

Experience:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of working on Transformation Programme and integrating new processes, resources and technologies into an organisation.
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles.
  • Hands-On experience of managing government projects.
  • Knowledge of producing RACI, Project Plans in MSP, Project Resource Management, RAIDs.
  • Experience in building diverse teams of skilled people.
  • Knowledge in authoring Project Management Processes. E.g. Procurement Plans, Procurement Approach and Delivery Plans.
  • Experience in liaising with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in presenting at a senior level project risks, plans and expectations.

Desirable:

  • Has an experience of working with classified systems and data sets and is willing to undergo or has DV clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Prince2, Managing Successful Programme, Management of Risk Certification or equivalent
  • BSc or Equivalent
  • Experience of working in large government organisations on complex transformation projects.
