Cansema Testimonial # 101608

Submission Date: October 16, 2008

Practitioner : Dr. Carlos Julio Tobar (M.D.)

Patient: Rogelio Espin, 65

Cancer Type: SCC of the Vocal Cords & Laryngeal Cartilage

Mister Rogelio Espin was a 65 years old man with a previous diagnosis of high blood pressure several years ago. He came to my office on July 23, 2008 with a biopsy diagnosis of verrucous squamous cell carcinomaaffecting the vocal cords and the laryngeal cartilage. This type of cancer, usually attacks the mouth and neck, in general has a good prognosis, although the therapeutic procedure of choice is surgery, with a not uncommon risk of recurrence. In his case, that would imply the removal of the larynx with the vocal cords leaving him without the possibility to speak. That motivated him to search for an alternative approach.

I applied a Cansema patch on his right shoulder. I preferred this way because the neck is a delicate area and the scab could become disturbing. The reaction 24 hours later was very active, showing a 2 inches wide scab. It is always good to have an active reaction from the beginning so I told him that we are in the right path.

After two weeks of treatment, which included Cansema Salve, Cansema Tonic III, a strict cancer diet and high doses of vitamins and minerals her daughter said: “I spoke with his oncologist and he said that he can wait only one month to have surgery, after that the procedure is too risky because this tumor grows fast, so I want to wait that month, if there is no result I want him to have surgery”. Mister Rogelio replied: “I know that at the end of this month I will be cured, and together we will see that doctor to show him that I am OK”.

Because of the short period of time we had, I decided to apply Cansema on his neck, at the site of the vocal cords. It surprised me to see that after one week of being with the patch in the neck, there was no reaction at all, compared with the quick response in the shoulder. To be sure I proposed to him that we do a laryngoscopy, an examination that looks at the back of the throat, including the larynx and vocal cords. He did it a few days after and the great news was that he was cancer free, there was no tumor, only healthy tissue. Even though, I applied an extra patch of Cansema, this time in the left shoulder for 24 hours, and again there were no reaction.

This was a quick healing process but I want to note the fact that he firmly stated that at the end of the month he will be cured, and so he did. This proves the importance of giving to the patient the certainty of curing; there is no place for doubt. If a doctor says to a patient you have 6 months to live and he lives 6 months it is not the great doctor’s prognosis, it is rather the positive affirmation in the patient’s mind. It is our purpose to apply the same principle but in the proper direction, for the patient’s well-being.

The video of the laryngoscopy will be sent this next week.
