Meeting Minutes
Regular Scheduled Meeting
August 28, 2012
Attendees: Bob Brame, Sharon Butts, Mike Heffington, Lucas Chesnut, Larry Kemp, Tommy Dunn, Jodi P’Pool, Kenneth Oakley, Matt Ladd, Brian Futrell
Guest: Franklin Clark – Cadiz Record,Jonathan Payne, Brian Ahart
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Bob Brame.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lucas Chestnut and second by Commissioner Kenneth Oakley to approve minutes from June 26, 2012 meeting minutes. All approved, motion passed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Kenneth Oakleyand second by Commissioner Matt Laddto accept financials for July & August2012 as presented.All approved, motion passed.

- New Business:
- Mike Heffington was re-appointed by the county for an additional 4 year term
- Bob Brame commented on the HB55 Training and how informative it was and the large attendance
- Sharon Butts reported to the commissioners a summary of their training hours and what additional were needed to be in compliance. This report will be handed out at each meeting going forward.
- Bob Brame discussed about some of the clarity on the website in regards to county subdivision. He had talked with Jonathan Payne and there will be some changes made to website to make it more clear on the steps for a county subdivision. Bob recommend the frequently asked questions be removed from website until the changes were corrected. A motion was made by Commissioner Kenneth Oakley to remove the Frequently Asked Questions page from website until corrected; this motion was seconded by Commissioner Matt Ladd. All approved, motion passed.
- Comments from Commissioners:
- Larry Kemp commented on how informative the training was and our well the training was coordinated
- Mike Heffington comment that the community is now beginning to recognize that we have planning and zoning in our community and he also expressed how well the training was coordinated and informative
- Matt Ladd, Brian Futrell also commented on how well the training was done
- Matt Ladd suggested checking with Pike Legal service to see if we could video tape training to help get training hours for those who cannot make the training sessions.
- Lucas Chesnut also voiced good comments about the training and how well it was coordinated and the information was very valuable. Lucas made a motion for a resolution to be made to the city and county to review that the planning commission board positions be compensated for their position on the board. (No second was needed due to this was a resolution request)
- Tommy Dunn voiced his concerns that other board in the community are being paid for their service on boards and felt that the city and county need to also compensate the planning commission for board positions as well.

A motion was made by Commissioner Matt Ladd and second by Commissioner Larry Kemp to adjourn the regular schedule planning commission meeting. All approved, motion passed.
Next meeting will be held on September 25, 2012.
