Past Occupations.

While still an undergraduate, I worked as a part-timer for the Canadian MPIS project at the Egyptian Authority for Energy and Electricity where I was responsible for translating maintenance procedures documents as well as occasional consecutive translation at meetings between Egyptian and Canadian engineers, (1997/1998).

After graduation, I trained in translation and proofreading in METSCO language and translation center, (1999/2000).

Working as a freelancer, I’ve accomplished a number of projects in a variety of fields;

In the technical domain, I’ve translated documents dealing with Power Stations and Substations;IT industry (software localization, and specifications of IT products for famous companies such as Intel, Google, and Kingston, etc);furniture industry;underground constructions; operation of industrial mechanical and electronic equipment (such as cranes, automatic lubrication systems, flight obstacle warning lights, etc);electrical safety in construction, automotive industry (for some well-known brands such as Kia, Jaguar, Volvo, Renault [mainly Renault Trucks]); user manuals and technical specifications guides (for mobile phones, printers, scanners, copiers, routers, Bluetooth kits, POS equipment, IPhone accessories, digital cameras, HDTV & home theaters, training simulation systems, access control and security systems …etc) for world-famous brands such as Nokia, Alcatel, Epson, U.S. Robotics, Kingston, and Linksys among others.I have also translated large volumes of highly technical training material related to all aspects of construction projects for construction workers, tile setters, carpenters, masons, and electricians. In the medical field, I have been translating large volumes of material for CCHMC (Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center), and CBI (Cancer and blood institute).
