Requirement and guidance for submitting abstracts

Guidelines

  • All abstracts submitted should be in English
  • Abstracts must be submitted online
  • The submission process is as for any standard journal
  • Hard copies will not be accepted
  • Submission of more than one abstract by the same first author is permitted
  • Authors can submit their abstracts indicating their preference as e-poster or oral presentation, however the final decision will rest with the Abstract selection committee

Format

  • Abstracts are restricted to 400 words
  • Abstracts should not include any tables or graphs
  • References in the text have to be cited at the end of the abstract (they are excluded from the word count)
  • All content of the abstract is in the sole responsibility of the author(s) of the abstract

Process

  • You need to have registered for the conference to be able to submit an Abstract
  • The deadline for Submission of Abstracts is 1st October, 2018
  • Intimation on acceptance of Abstract will be issued on 15th October, 2018
  • On approval, you will be invited to either present an Oral Presentation or a Poster
  • Oral presentation and Poster presentation guidelines will be intimated along with the approvalemail

Abstracts will be chosen to be presented as either oral paper presentations or a poster presentation. This year we give you the opportunity to submit your scientific work under the following categories

  • Asthma and Allergy
  • Pediatric Sleep
  • Respiratory Intensive Care
  • Respiratory Infections and Tuberculosis
  • Epidemiology
  • Miscellaneous

Awards

Respicon 2018 is proud to announce 3 Awards for Scientific Paper Presentations to recognize the research work done in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology.

If you would like the abstract submitted by you to be considered for the award presentation category & are keen to apply for oral presentation under these categories, kindly submit your complete paper keeping in mind the instructions mentioned below as per the IAP Respiratory chapter. All other abstracts submitted, will be considered for poster presentations, and subsequently the award for posters.

Eligibility

  • Students and Pediatric residents (within 2 yearsof finishing their residency)

Submission needed

  • FULL paper (as per style of INDIAN PEDIATRICS) and a structured ABSTRACT with the following subheadings
  • Background
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion
  • Word count of abstract should not exceed 350 words
  • Abstract should not contain any tables, graphs, images or illustrations
  • Four authors (Presenter+3 co-authors) are allowed per paper. Clearly identify the person who will present the paper (who will be the lead author and contact person by default) and the said person has to be a registered delegate at the Conference

IAPNRCAWARDFORPEDIATRICPULMONARYRESEARCH

Eligibility

  • Young Investigators, may be Post graduate, in pediatrics with special interest in pulmonology or fellow in Pediatric pulmonology
  • Below the age of 45 years

Submission needed

  • Word count of abstract should not exceed 350 words
