Business Development Executive–Informa Healthcare

Informa Business Information currently has an exciting opportunity in our Central London office for an ambitious new business focused Business Development Executive looking to join a world leader in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Business Intelligence. We are an expanding global business, offering excellent opportunities for career-driven and money-hungry Business Development Executives/Sales Executives looking to establish a fruitful career in an ever-growing Pharmaceutical and Healthcare brand.

Informa Healthcare is responsible for the publication of high-quality peer-reviewed journals covering all stages of pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug research and development and our Business Development Executives are tasked withdeveloping and maximising subscription sales, predominantly in the academics markets, for these various journals. We are ideally seekinga confident and drivenBusiness Developer/sales professional of Degree calibre and prior experience in selling directly to senior level management, as well as a proven track record of successful B2B sales. We will also consider high calibre graduates with the genuine desire, understanding and skills to succeed in a B2B sales career.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Establishing sales opportunities within Informa Healthcare brands by networking, building relationships, establishing needs and closing deals.
  • Managing and developing your client base through both established business and new business opportunities
  • Developing your understanding of Informa Healthcare products, our competitors and clients to enable maximised sales and revenue generation.

Ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in B2B sales
  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of consultatively selling into Tech Transfers and Science Parks would be an advantage
  • Proven success in a sales role dealing with senior management in multi-national companies would be an advantage
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximise product potential
