Hunger-Free Leadership Institute – Application Form

Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon is looking for applicants to join our new Hunger-Free Leadership Institute (H-FLI)!

H-FLI is a nine-month training program that works to end hunger in Oregon by building community leaders. Participants will:

·  Build stronger relationships in their community

·  Share their stories in a way that inspires others to action

·  Take action to create positive social change

·  Understand Oregon politics

·  Have opportunities to network with anti-hunger professionals

We are looking for ten people (ages 16+) who are good at building relationships, interested in learning new things, and passionate about ending hunger in their community and in Oregon.

Ideal H-FLI members will be problem-solvers who like to bring people together, interested in sharing information with their neighbors, curious, friendly, want to make their community better.

H-FLI members might be single parents or high school students, experienced professionals or new to the workforce, young people or retirees. We’re looking for folks from all walks of life!

This year’s program will run October 1, 2016 - June 3, 2017. Members will spend about eight hours a month and commit to coming to at least seven of the trainings.

Trainings dates will be:

·  Saturday, October 1, 2016 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

·  Tuesday, November 1, 2016 -5:30 – 8 p.m.

·  Saturday, December 3, 2016 –10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

·  Tuesday, January 10, 2017 - 5:30 – 8 p.m.

·  Saturday, February 4, 2017 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

·  Tuesday, March 7, 2017 - 5:30 – 8 p.m.

·  Saturday, April 1, 2017 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

·  Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - 5:30 – 8 p.m.

·  Saturday, June 3, 2017 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.


Meals, transportation costs, childcare to trainings and meetings as well as any program-related costs will be covered.
