INDIVIDUAL STROKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Each player will complete 18 holes on the The Tytherington Club Championship Course on Monday and 18 holes on the De Vere Mottram Hall Championship Course on Tuesday. The top 40 male and the top * women golfers will qualify through to the final round on Wednesday 14 June. This will consist of a 36-hole strokeplay final contested over the De Vere Mottram Hall Championship Course. The male and female with the lowest aggregate score over the 72-hole event will be awarded the Individual Strokeplay Championship.

Using the results of the individual performances during the Individual Strokeplay Championships on Monday and Tuesday a Team Strokeplay Championship shall also be offered. The Team will consist of four members with the results of three players counting on each of the two days. Entry into the team competition would only be permitted if the institution has three players in the draw ballot.

* denotes a number to be determined by the competition organisers.

Institutions must state their team on the entry form. Once the tournament has started no further changes will be permitted.

The competitions shall be conducted under the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. Failure to observe the rules and standard golf etiquette associated with golf shall render the competitor liable to disqualification and disciplinary action by BUSA.

Competitors shall make themselves aware of local rules from a BUSA official before the start of the competition.

There shall be no practice round on either course once the competition has started. Failure to adhere to this may result in disqualification.

The championship shall also be the culmination of the BUSA Order of Merit Championship and will see the British Universities OVERALL Order of Merit Champion be determined. This will be the male or female golfer with the highest points total from 3 out of the 4 BUSA Order of Merit events that have take place throughout the year. The current standings are detailed below.
