Help save StillwaterLake!
I am a (Boy Scout/Cub Scout) and our Scout camp uses part of StillwaterLake for watersports and lifesaving activities. The Pennsylvania DEP said that the dam on StillwaterLake needs repairs or they will drain the lake. Without the lake there will be no camp.
The 2006 Pennsylvania R-CAP Budget already approved the dam project and I am writing to ask that you release the R-CAP funds to repair the StillwaterLakeDam in MonroeCounty. All that’s needed to save the lake is for the state to release the funds.
Please help save StillwaterLake and keep the Scouts camping in the Pocono Mountains.

As a concerned citizen and voter, I am writing to ask that you release the R-CAP funds that were approved in the 2006 Pennsylvania State R-CAP Budget to repair the StillwaterLakeDam in MonroeCounty.
StillwaterLake is an important open space and natural resource in MonroeCounty. This lake is part of the Tunkhannock Creek Watershed that was identified by the Nature Conservancy as “one of Earth’s last great open spaces” and needs to be preserved. The Pennsylvania DEP said that the StillwaterLakeDamneeds remediation or they will drain the lake. Since the 2006 Pennsylvania R-CAP Budget already approved the dam project, all that’s needed to save the lake is for the state to release the funds.
Please help save StillwaterLake!
