An exquisite culinary experience awaits you and you will be treated to the personal care and assistance of your hosts and their staff.
Room description
Each of the spacious and friendly Boutique-rooms is individually decorated and they all impress through creative style, lovely details and an over all unique Schlussel-atmosphere. They feature large showers, freestandingbathtubs, some are equipped with nostalgic water taps, as well as basins of the Belle Epoche. Further equipment: a separate toilet, hair dryer, safe, LCD television, DVD/CD-player, internet access (wireless/LAN), access to the idyllic garden and balcony on each floor with fantastic lake and mountain views. You choose between three different room categories which vary in room sizes.

The room price includes a rich breakfast buffet. Beggrieder water from the tap, fresh fruit, Amici Caffè and a selection of tea on each floor. Complimentary use of DVD’s and CD’s and free internet access (wireless/LAN). Transfer within the village, guest card for the Lake-Lucerne-region and use of mountain bikes.

Your journey to the Schlussel will be rewarded with our joy of being your hosts and our time is dedicated to you. There is no written menu in the Schlussel, the hosts will present the nights menu right at the guests table and recommend the best suitable wine. Of course we will take consideration should you have an allergy or be vegetarian.
The finest seasonal produce is used and whenever possible we use local ingredients. Our motto is «fresh, uncomplicated and good». The chef is a passionate hunter and you can enjoy venison specialities every autumn.
We have a GaultMillau rating of 13 points. Our wine list includes 250 of the finest European wines.
If you are organising a banquet for a larger group the menu can be bespoken beforehand, considering your expectations, special wishes and your budget.

With the various premises at Boutique-hotel Schlussel you are offered the ideal venue for a constructive meeting in the heart of Central Switzerland. Organise your management conference or board meeting in a relaxed atmosphere and with a personal touch. Small and individually held meetings are held the authentic Schlussel way with the hosts and the staff paying full attention to every detail. With stunning views to LakeLucerne and surrounded by lush green fields every seminar is bound to be a success. On your request we compile a program for your management conference or board meeting.
Dining room
The dining room has been kept in it's original way creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. It has been decorated with alot of detail making you feel comfortable. We appreciate your visit to the Boutique-hotel Schlussel and you will be treated as a friend and enjoy honest Swiss hospitality. There is no written menu in the restaurant Schlussel. The hosts will explain the menu at your table and recommend the best suitable wine.
Hunter’s room
The hunter's room shows the second passion of our host: hunting. Accommodates up to 10 guests for dinners or small functions.
Ballroom
The ballroom was added to the main house in the year 1935. Initially it was especially used for the goat market which took place once a year in the upper part of the village of Beckenried. Over the years the ballroom in the Boutique-hotel Schlussel has become the heart of the house. After the last soft renovation the ballroom has more than ever proven to be the perfectly beautiful venue for unforgettable weddings, happy birthdays, lovely baptisms and holy communions.
Lounge
The tasteful lounge is the ideal meeting place for all guests and friends from the Boutique-hotel Schlussel. In the lounge we will greet and welcome you. You are invited to enjoy an aperitif and to begin your evening at Boutique-hotel Schlussel. Or sit down and have your «night cap» before you retrieve to your beautiful Boutique-room for a good nights sleep.
Gourmet shop
The Gourmet shop was run from 1928 – 1961 by Paul Murer. At that time the shop was opened daily from 06:30 am to 07:00 pm and even on Sundays for some hours because this was also the milk counter of the upper village.
Fat, jam and butter were sold out of big barrels. Petrol, bread and a lot of other local goods were also sold here. Different sweets were delivered by the bread shops Käslin und Schlaufer. They also delivered the «Ziegerkrapfen» for the Ridli-market. Up to 1000 pieces for 30 Rappen were consumed by the visitors on such a day.
One could also buy different pieces of meat, cold cuts and whole loaves of cheese. The potatoes were shipped on the lake, towed by a boat and delivered to the Gourmet shop.
The famous «Beggerieder Most», the local cider was offered by the litre for 30 Rappen per litre. The customers fetched the cider here in 2 litre earthenware pottery. The Rössli china was very popular as dowry at that time and therefore the absolute hit. The Tiki-powder was the children’s hit. During war people paid by «Märkli». The major supplier of the Gourmet shop was the company Hofer, which later merged to become Hofer-Curti. They delivered with horse-drawn carriages.
Since autumn 2001 this Gourmet shop shines again with dignity and a new glance. Opening hours are Wednesdays to Sundays before lunch and in the evening before supper.
We have a wide variety for you: selected wines, exquisite liquors, nicely chosen olive oils, good vinegar, first-class tea, aromatic Amici coffee, Italian specialities, jam and «Nidelzältli» produced by our employees and of course Daniel's salad dressing.
Start your culinary trip with an aperitif in the Gourmet shop Schlussel or just come over and have a look around. Enjoy being served by the same staff whether you are in the Gourmet shop or in the dining room.
Stone-Cellar
In winter and on rainy days the stone cellar is a comfortable and cosy little venue. During the warm summer months the stone cellar offers a cool hide-away where small meetings and little aperitifs can be held. The stone walls, the big comfy sofa and the original atmosphere invite you to enjoy an quiet cup of Amici caffè or a good glass of wine. Enjoy that little bit of extra space to relax, flip through a magazine or meet up for a little chat.
Garden
The idyllic Schlussel-garden invites you to relax and let your mind wander. Close your eyes and enjoy bright summer moments in the little oasis. On a warm day, come and stretch your legs on the loungers, relax from your trip to Beckenried or from your hike up on mountKlewenalp.

Beckenried is situated in the centre of Switzerland and on the border of LakeLucerne (Vierwaldstättersee), 10 km (20 minutes by car) from the city of Lucerne and 90 km (60 minutes by car) from Zurich international airport. 13 top ski areas are nearby.
Directions
Boutique-hotel Schlussel is off the main road, on the north-south axis E35, Amsterdam-Milano, exit 34. From Lucerne by boat or by bus (train connections Lucerne-Stans), complimentary shuttle from the boat station Beckenried to the hotel.
